Overview
Its very narrow, toothed and curved leaves give the shoots a fine, decorative look. This aquatic plant from tropical and subtropical Asia has long been known in the hobby but remains uncommon in tanks. The botanical boundary between its name and Najas minor is debated in the sources.

Growing in the aquarium
It is described as fairly undemanding, with medium to strong light given for this entry. Fragments are used to multiply the shoots. Keep the name of the plant you receive and check its origin rather than assuming that every Najas in the trade will share exactly the same habit or needs.
