Overview
Its small leaves and many shoots make a dense, light green bush. This plant from Florida was long sold as Hemianthus micranthemoides, whereas the real species of that name is a different plant. It can grow upwards or spread out depending on the light.

Growing in the aquarium
Good light gives a more compact stand; in the shade the stems stretch and the internodes spread apart. CO₂ speeds up growth and encourages branching. Keep up a regular supply of nutrients, then trim and replant the cuttings to keep the shape you want rather than letting the bush grow too tall.
