Overview
These small rosette plants produce runners and can gradually spread their planting. They belong to the group once classed among the small Echinodorus. The name Helanthium bolivianum, however, covers several interpretations and trade forms, whose habit and foliage may differ.

An aquarium plant must never reach the wild: throwing away cuttings or emptying a tank into a stream can be enough to establish it.

Provide medium to strong light and leave the runners some free ground around the plants. The young rosettes let you multiply the planting. Look at the form you actually receive before choosing its final place: the name “bolivianum” alone does not guarantee a very low lawn or a precise height.
