An aquarium plant must never reach the wild: throwing away cuttings or emptying a tank into a stream can be enough to establish it.

Growing in the aquarium
Plant in a group and multiply the shoots by cuttings. Good light supports its growth. When buying, tell the real plant apart from a Bacopa monnieri sold under the same name: the latter has clearly thicker, fleshier leaves and stems. The trade name alone is therefore not enough to recognise this entry.
