Overview
Willow moss is a true aquatic moss, widespread in running and still waters of the northern hemisphere. Its look varies a great deal with conditions and cultivated forms. It brings river vegetation to the decor rather than the foliage of a classic stem plant.

Growing in the aquarium
It is grown fully submerged, with low to strong light depending on the tank. Dividing clumps is used to multiply the planting. Check the identification: local Leptodictyum-type mosses are often taken for Fontinalis, and the different forms of the species do not all keep the same size.
