Overview
Its fine, almost needle-like leaves give the shoots a light, delicate texture. Unlike a small-rosette Eriocaulon, this species grows taller and can branch a lot. It suits as a fine accent in the middle or back of a tank designed for demanding plants.

Growing in the aquarium
It needs very soft water, an acidic substrate, strong light and CO₂. Keep up a regular supply of nutrients. It tolerates trimming poorly: only step in when necessary and prefer renewing the plant with short cuttings rather than repeatedly cutting back an old stand. Long cuttings readily grow unsightly roots on the stems.
