Overview
This Japanese pondweed bears elongated leaves where the network of veins stays visible. The stems branch towards their upper part and can produce flower spikes at the surface. A truly submerged plant, it also grows rhizomes, which let it spread the group beyond the shoots already visible.

Growing in the aquarium
Give it a place in the midground or background with medium to strong light. Cuttings and young shoots from the runners let you multiply the planting. Watch this underground spread as well as the height of the stems. Detailed growing reports remain limited: avoid confusing this entry with the more common pondweeds.
